We all have a need to feel like we are standing on solid footing, to understand what is going on around us; to be grounded in certainty. In that understanding we feel safe.
Oftentimes, when we don’t know all the details, we make assumptions as a way of filling in the blanks and to once again feel like we are on solid ground. But when we make assumptions, we create unnecessary stress, angst and drama in our lives and in our relationships… anything but peace.
Today, I remember that life doesn’t happen to me,
it happens through me.
Anchored in my Wholeness,
I take the risk and ask for clarification.
I cease making assumptions and raise myself and
my relationships to a higher level of care.
And so it is.
